With Lindy's RJ-45 Port Blocker Key, the user can quickly lock open network ports and easily prevent users from connecting cables, devices or inserting foreign objects without permission. This helps protect against unauthorized access to a network or system, as well as prevent unintentional or malicious damage to ports. It can also act as a visual signal, displaying inactive or disconnected ports, ideal for use in schools, offices or other public sector environments. The semi-permanent RJ-45 port blocker is composed of a molded plastic locking cap that securely connects to the RJ-45 port with a special insert key. The blocker clips to the RJ-45 like a network cable would and stays in place until removed with the insert key. To use, simply place a blocker on the key and plug it into the port. Hold the blocker in place and remove the key. To remove, simply reinsert the key into the blocker until it clicks and remove it. Safety note: Port blockers only act as a basic physical and visual deterrent against tampering. They will not prevent a determined attacker from attempting to gain physical access to an RJ-45 port.
